Summary
It’s been a lonely few years for the twice ascended god. He’s been traveling the mortal realm looking for his last and most devoted devotee, his ghost soldier Wu Ming. He swore to himself that he’d never purposely hurt the ghost again, that he’d do whatever if took for forgiveness he didn’t deserve.
Though he understands that Wu Ming may not even want to see him. But he has to at least properly apologize, as selfish as that maybe. If Wu Ming would allow he’s daydreamed of happily traveling with the ghost again, under better circumstances this time than the last.
He did have a slight issue when he first ascended, he desperately wished to be banished immediately thinking he didn’t at all deserve his ascension and godhood but also desperate to go back and check on Wu Ming. Unfortunately he was rejected despite his efforts.
Or
Xie Lian and Hua Cheng meet after Hua Cheng beat those 33 heavenly officials, in typical Hualian fashion they spar for 3 days as their first date!

Summary
Ascensions are occasions to celebrate, unique moments of joy and excitement for old and incredibly bored Heaven Officials. Usually. However, when Prince Hua Cheng inexplicably crashes back in heaven for the third time, there is a lot of excitement indeed, but very little joy.
“I’m back, bitches,” Hua Cheng grins dangerously as he steps out of the palace he just wrecked during his spectacular ascension. “Missed me?”
Or: Role Reversal!AU, in which Hua Cheng is the twice forsaken God of Revenge and Misfortune and former prince of a country he destroyed himself 800 years ago. He genuinely has no clue why the infamous demon king White Sword Whispering Death would be interested in a humble wandering priest like himself and would like to be left alone to carve his Xie Lian statues in peace, thank you very much.
