Rinit is only sure of two things in life.
1.He's a guide.
2.Tansian Sentinel Guides always die before their time.Those born as guides in Tansian automatically qualify for many benefits, however not many willingly volunteer to become a Sentinel Guide. To combat this problem the High Council has resorted to unsavory methods when recruiting and testing potential guides, often scooping up drunks and vagrants for not necessarily "ethical" testing. Although in theory a volunteer position, once tested and registered as a guide one's fate is sealed.
After a night of drinking Rinit wakes up in a Council Dungeon unsure of where he is or how he got there. Unable to speak well due to an injury from his childhood, Rinit must learn to communicate with those around him as he navigates his new position as a guide matched to a high-level sentinel.

“It won’t work,” Tobirama replies, too quick, too soon, before having all his thoughts processed. Hashirama waits for him to explain himself. “It won’t unless it’s someone high profile among us. Otherwise there’s no guarantee either way.”
Hashirama nods, and now that Tobirama pays attention, his brother looks ashamed.
“Oh, you meant to offer me,” Tobirama concludes, “me or Touka. But I doubt Touka would do well inside an arrangement like this, so it falls to me.”

They set their futons in opposite corners of the room, stretching the distance between them to its physical limit. Izuna pressed himself against the wall so hard it looked like he was trying to phase through it and escape.
Tobirama glared at him while fluffing his pillow with the enthusiasm of a man preparing for murder. If the pillow had a voice, it would have begged for mercy. The slaps turned into punches as he imagined Izuna’s smug face beneath the fabric.
Izuna watched him with a flat, unimpressed stare.
Then, without breaking eye contact, he tore his own pillow clean in half.Tobirama blinked.
