Amazing style of writing meets my favorite kind of angst in this proposal fic. Highly enjoyable for the descriptions alone, but also filled with little details that make the whole affair seem quite hannibalesque.

This is a canon-typical piece wherein Will's recent bout with hallucination-inducing encephalitis has him -- and everyone around him -- questioning whether or not the person he claims is stalking him is real or imagined. After a dangerous encounter, Will is left injured and confused. His friends are concerned that this was not the work of a supposed stalker but rather a hallucination that caused Will to injure himself. Hannibal is the only one who thinks Will's stalker story is a possibility, and they concoct a plan to find out the truth.

A beautiful, disturbing piece with an integrated case fic that'll leave you pretty damn paranoid. While the latter half suffers from pacing issues and too much similar dialogue, it's all in all a great, in-character fic with many little details that make the characters come to life. Also: hints of Hannigram.

Summary
Post-fall, Hannibal and Will escape to Europe, wounded and hurting. Very quickly things turn bad, and Will seeks to hide them both away on a small island in the Mediterranean, to cut them off from the world and for them to be alone together. He needs to understand how he has changed Hannibal, and what that change means for Hannibal's behaviour. He also has to come to terms with their growing intimacy, both emotional and physical. But Hannibal finds it difficult to stay hidden away and when they meet others on the island, Hannibal tries to persuade him into killing them.

An amazingly in-character, well-written piece set post-S3, full of pain and sweetness and honesty. The story itself might not be full of surprises, but Will and Hannibal are spot-on. Also: cats.
