Summary
Lance's life is a bit of a chaotic mess when he wakes up one morning to discover he has the super powers he dreamed of having as a kid. Throw his ex rival suddenly coming back into his life and the only other person with powers refusing to talk to him and things only spiral out of control more. Lance just wants things to make sense. And for his stupid heart to calm down.

“Keith?” Lance says. The guy purses his lips and looks down at his name tag.
“Yeah, that’s what the tag says,” Keith replies.
“Do you not… you were on my soccer team in high school,” Lance says, voice slightly hoarse.
“Was I?” Keith says, “I doubt you’re lying, I don’t really remember much of high school.” Lance’s jaw actually drops this time. There’s no way.

Summary
He couldn’t hear anything at all as his eyes fell on the sliver of skin peeking through the gap between the man’s glove and the sleeve of his suit. It wasn’t the skin that caught his attention though, rather the little geometrical lion. A simple mark. A mark that, in a single moment, turned Lance’s whole world upside down.
He knew the man was trying to say something. Was about to shoot him, probably. He couldn’t feel anything over the numbness starting to settle deep in his bones.
Or maybe he’d already been shot…
Didn’t he read somewhere that people started seeing things at the brink of death? Maybe it was his brain tricking him into seeing what he’d longed for since he was 13. Since the day the universe itself had engraved the promise of love into his skin— right over his pulse. His soul mark, a little geometrical lion.

Lance was almost certain that he won't be seeing the next sunrise when an assassin came to kill him after he wrote an article on the city's biggest drug trafficking organization. And as if that weren't bad enough, it turned out that they're soulmates??

Summary
Lance is used to a certain way of doing things. Sure, he has daily chaos as a nurse, but he knows what he values and how to get through the worst.
Or he thought he did.
Having a hitman for a soulmate wasn't expected, what's more, having that man's world of violence and danger tangle in his own is the last thing Lance plans. And yet, Lance is drawn deeper into Keith's life and relishes every moment he has with this unexpected kismet.
